You can find some links for beginners in our
wiki<http://wiki.python.org.il/%D7%97%D7%95%D7%9E%D7%A8_%D7%9C%D7%9E%D7%AA%D7%97%D7%99%D7%9C%D7%99%D7%9D>.

Lots of people use the O'reilly "snake
book"<http://oreilly.com/catalog/9780596158101/>- but it is not really
a beginner's guide.

If anyone can add to this list, please do (or better yet - edit the wiki
page directly).
