I looked at WTF-is-Python, but it's not exactly what I'm looking for.
Here's an attempt:
Python is a powerful dynamic programming language. Python's emphasis on clarity and simplicity allows developers to produce powerful programs in relatively short times.
Maybe there's some other OSS project out there which produced a better pitch?
