No, it's not.

There will be XHTML5, which should be mostly backwards compatible with XHTML 
1.1. And XHTML 1.0-Strict/1.0-Transitional/1.1/etc. may be considered good 
enough.

I'm using XHTML 1.1 for all of my sites.
